ABC Open TT Series - 2006-Jun-04 - 40km (Calabogie - Hwy 511) (EvtFactor= 0.9446)

With earlier predictions of rain showers not materializing, 33 people turned up to enjoy this first ABC 40km time trial of the 2006 season. Most reported feeling quite fatigued afterwards - some as a result of the north-east winds which were stronger than expected, and others from the hills which seem to have grown more steep since last year. Still, seven riders rode more quickly than they had last season. In fact, these seven racers all exceeded their previous database bests - Chris Grainger by more than 19% in terms of his cube-speed ratio! Another interesting measure is to see how consistent riders' average speeds are between this course and the OTT 15km course. You may click here to see such a graph.
